Design

Design gates are a delivery feature, not overhead

For public interfaces, design quality is a product contract, not decorative garnish.

Engineering correctness does not automatically deliver brand clarity. For public interfaces, design quality is a product contract, not decorative garnish.

Every UI change in the Catalyst workflow gets a dedicated design gate for typography, spacing, responsive behaviour, and accessibility. The gate is intentionally blocking when a change drifts from those standards.

Verify in rendered output

We also verify in rendered output, not only in source diffs. Subtle spacing, contrast, and hierarchy defects often appear only after full page composition and responsive layout changes.

Preventing visual debt

Treating design review as first-class delivery work prevents visual debt from compounding into rework after release, and keeps brand trust intact across iterative launches.
